In 1997 Video Update was growing as a video rental chain. President John Beddard and CEO Daniel Potter wanted to develop a store prototype that would be a flagship for other stores soon to be added to the chain.
We worked together to create a family friendly atmosphere. Every aspect of Video Update's identity was redesigned and updated to deliver a message that the customer could count on Video Update to deliver fun for the whole family at a price that didn't strain the family budget.
The design process culminated in a complete overhaul of Video Update's image resulting in an enhanced logo, over 20 new trademarks and enhancements to the decor including original wallpaper and carpet designs.
Within the first month of the overhaul on Video Update's Woodbury location the store boasted a 60% increase in gross revenue.
